Skiing is my beloved hobby and I have been skiing since childhood. Because the effects and benefits of skiing are significant, I decided to gather about them more to this story.

The SnowVillage's theme is the Arctic Illusions in this year. Previously for two years the theme was Game of Thrones, that made me admire ice art. I was surprised, that this year is already Snowvillage's 19th time for the exhibition. It is a pity that I haven't seen seem them all.

We traveled to Äkäslompolo about the week before Christmas. We boarded to the train from rainy Helsinki and arrived a very snowy Seven Fell's village on the next morning.

The Northern Lights are stunning in the nature and in photos. Äkäslompolo and Ylläs have been said to be very good places to see and photograph the Northern Lights.

Netta, a Golden Retriever, belonged to our family for 12 years. Netta was our beloved pet and she was with us in our travels to Äkäslompolo many times. Netta was very sociable and maybe a little bit attention-seeking and eager to get involved to all trips. Netta was always the first in the car waiting for the travel to start....

In recent years we have been favored travelling by train because of a comfort and a climate change reasons. We are used to spend our time much better in the train than in the car, and we have tried to avoid more and more flying.

We started our mountain biking on Saturday about 11 am and we had planned to go to admire the landscapes of the Fell Kukastunturi. We biked with mountain bikes from Äkäslompolo to Nilivaara and we thought to find the right route from there to the Fell Kukastunturi.
